MACH1 DEVELOPMENT

In 2025 we launched Mach1 Devo: a U23 development off-road racing team, and are setting out on grand adventures! We’re doing big things and we’re going to create new opportunities for young talent in cycling, telling stories, and inspiring others.

  • Julia Allred

Julia Allred has been mountain biking since age eight, inspired by her mom and older sister and a lifelong love for the outdoors. Growing up, she competed in track, cross country, swimming, and triathlon, earning 3rd place in the U19 division at the 2021 XTERRA World Championships. After discovering a passion for long-distance racing, Julia podiumed at her first 50-mile MTB race in 2022 and placed 10th at the NICA Utah State Varsity Girls race in 2023. She has since continued racing marathon MTB events and fallen in love with gravel racing.

Julia is excited to continue developing as an athlete with Mach1 Devo. Her goals include going sub-8 hours at Leadville, becoming a healthy, well-rounded athlete, and one day winning a major endurance race. She’s equally motivated to be a supportive teammate, help Mach1 stand out, and encourage younger riders in the sport. Outside of cycling, Julia is an avid snowboarder!

Short term, Roston’s goals include winning 24 Hours of Old Pueblo and True Grit Epic. Long term, he’s focused on earning a professional contract and continuing to raise his level year after year.

Roston understands that being a valuable team member goes far beyond results. During his first year as part of Mach1 Devo he completed a coaching internship and is now taking on clients on his own! • Miles Baker

Miles began riding at age six thanks to his dad and found his passion for racing after joining his high school team at thirteen. Coming from a mountain bike background, Miles is drawn to long, technical gravel and MTB races with plenty of climbing, but he’s also grown to love the strategy and group dynamics of faster gravel events.

In the short term, Miles’ goal is to finish top 15 in the pro field at a Belgian Waffle Ride event. Long term, he aims to be comfortable racing at the front of pro gravel fields. Beyond racing, he hopes to ride for life and eventually coach a local NICA team after college.

Miles brings a positive, grounded energy to Mach1 Devo. He takes performance seriously and wants to race at a high level, but not at the expense of enjoying the experience. Outside of cycling, Miles enjoys cross-country skiing!

Studying online has given Brooke the flexibility to travel, connect with inspiring people, and fully invest in both her athletic and academic goals.

Brooke is excited to bring unconditional support, positivity, and friendship to her teammates. She’s especially looking forward to racing, camping, and growing together as a team. In the short term, her goals include improving her descending and bike-handling skills and reaching a 200-watt 20-minute power. One of her proudest accomplishments came from trail running, where she won the UTMB 10K Nationals. While trail running remains close to her heart, Lily’s current focus is fully on gravel and mountain biking, where she’s earned top finishes at Unbound Gravel, Lauf Gravel Worlds, and Big Sugar Gravel.

Off the bike, Lily is passionate about cooking and performance nutrition. She hopes to support Mach1 Devo by helping fuel the team—creating nourishing pre- and post-ride meals and ride fuel that help athletes perform at their best. She’s especially excited about the close-knit team culture and building meaningful relationships while keeping the sport fun.

Lily’s goals include competing at the The Rift 200K and racing as a pro in the Lifetime Grand Prix.
